The wet season descends in mid October and varies in different parts of Indonesia. The heavy rain in the month of December is a deterrent for tourists as well as locals. Many parts of Papua also become inaccessible during the rainy season. The intensity of rain shifts in October to other parts of Indonesia. Rains have a little effect on Kalimantan and Bali.
